hi guys, proud father moment.. i've half finished my new dark eldar army i've been working on, and i'm so happy with it i felt like uploading some pictures!

a few grotesques converted from the warspears, and a talos

I was going for 'the hex' coven theme with pale blue skin, but the armor plates on the warspear models were crying out for a contrasting colour, so i when 'NHS green' lol sybarite green actually, and i think its become my favorite colour! i can almost taste mint choc chip icecream when i open the pot up tho Razz

Here's a better shot of the grots which shows abit more of the blue hue flesh...

Its my first attempt at green stuff too, and i found it great fun making all 10 grots with the spare bits from the talos kits, a lot easier than i thought it would be.

If anyone is thinking about converting some grots up, i recommend it, a talos kits makes enough spares to make 5!!

Anyway, hope you enjoyed!

Nice.

Going to move this to Project Logs, as the Aphotic Gallery is just for finished projects. Thanks, Gob.

I really like the mixing of grotesque and talos bits. It really helps link the two models. Do you have any plans for future fleshcrafting?

Cheers for the support guys! I agree the bits do help tie them together as a theme. I've made all 10 grots now and a talos and cronos, I've also had a friend who paint s on commission paint a new heame for me and I plan the convert another from the lheamaen (spelling!) model

With keep you updated Smile

Great tip about a talos making 5 grots, had no idea they had that many spares. Looking good!

Excellent conversion but highlight (kind of punny) for me is the green rust look around the spikes on the gauntleted hands, looks fantastic!

Thanks dragontree, its my first time doing weathering/ rust effects so glad there noticeable, i might add a bit more orange to the streaks but i dunno yet...

Any way the haemonculus >>>

This way done by a friend but we managed to match up the colour quite well even though we started everything seperatly !  I'm a big fan on the lighting effect on the vials, and the leather so i think i'll get him to do that on all the vials and leather/ cloth parts on everything else

close up on the vials

Tried out my army for the first time this week too, very impressed! i recommend grots alot! Twisted Evil

I always suspected the NHS was a cover for something...
