PostSubject: Kabal from France   Tue Oct 28 2014, 13:24

Hello everyone.

I start the DE 3 years ago, and i must confess, i think it is the most pleasing army to paint. Marines, necron, ork (especially them) are really boring to paint. But i never had this impression when i paint my minis (by the way i also play dark elves at warhammer battle, so mayby there is a link...).

I think this forum is more interesting than the french forum, so i move here.
For the moment i don't have a fluent language to speak in the tactica subjets, but i can show you my  army.

So this is my DE army, i don't have a name for now (maybe juste 'The Blazing').

Succubi with grotesques (i must change the ccw of the succubi)

Some cabalites warriors

One of my venom

And my talos (a mini from rakham)

Many pictures will come Smile

Thanks for watching

With the thread title I was expecting a tricolor paint scheme Wink

Nice Grot conversion, and I'll second the praise for the orange scheme.

Very beautiful use of color here, and welcome to The Dark City!
Let me know in a PM if you would like to move this to a project log.

Excellent conversions, and fantastic painting, it's nice to see such a vibrant colour scheme. An entire army like this on the tabletop would look amazing.

Welcome to The Dark City, Zyrtchen. Not a bad first post to open with Very Happy

Cheers.

What did you use to get that pattern on the venom? I am looking for something exactly like that.

Thank you, i already like this forum !

It's just un very little fence (ordinary, use for little trains), like this :

You juste have to cut the size you want. When your vehicle is almost done, you place the fence (it must not move during the operation) and you add a brighter color on the top face of your vehicle with an aero. The paint only go on the holes.

I appreciate that Wink

Here my beastmaster and khymerae :

And my converted medusae :

The Medusae are also Rackham models, right? I picked up some Halbadiers De Dirz a thousand years ago to use as Haemonculi models in 3rd edition, and I was sad to see Rackham go out of business Sad

Your solution for painting the patterns onto your vehicles is both simple and amazing!

Bonjour! Your army is looking excellent. A great use of colour and patterns and very well executed. I really like the simple yet very effective use of the fence to get the diamond patterns. I will have to try that myself. Looking forward to more Smile

Oh those are fantastic, the orange scheme is particularly plesing without being cheery, (as bright colours could so easily be.)

Salut et bienvenue dans la Cité,

Enfin un autre français sur ce site, je commençais à désespérer.

(Sorry for the english people if I take advantage to write in french for once).

Ton schéma de couleur est superbe. Ton dégradé jaune/orange est vraiment bien fondu.

Ho je suis sûr qu'il y en a d'autres, sur pas mal de forum anglais/américains, il y a des français qui sont inscrit.

Gorgeous models and I see some very good airbrush skills. What strikes me is how very different the Barghest models from Puppetswar can look due to different paintjobs.

Beautiful! Amazing! I love the Talos and want it in my life. It's a really good take on Dark Eldar-ing up a Wraithlord. Perfect!

The Mandrakes are also sick. Which bit did you use for heads?
