While phantasm grenades conferred assault grenades on units that needed them like incubi and grotesques, they also conferred defensive grenades, which would give my wyches stealth at 8" range. It's wasn't uncommon for me to disembark into terrain then assault through that terrain for a 3-4+ cover save. Heck, it was worth it for the small 6+ cover save you could get charging in an open field. It's a small loss but an even further minor nerf to wyches.

Hey guys. Listened to the ep while on hol (still there drinking beer with wifi access Smile ) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked your talks about the different units and the positive attitude you have towards the codex (even if parts of it are bad like my beloved wyches. Damn!) keep
It up and I am looking forward to the next. (And yay for being able to subscribe Smile )

couldn't find it in the rulebook, where does it states that defensive grenades give you stealth?

In the 6th edition rulebook. In 7th, defensive grenades have been changed to negate the bonus from charging.

They always did that, in 7th the change is now about throwing them and blinding your opponent.
Which doesn't help much versus Overwatch really, but...well...I guess we don't have them anyway so it doesn't matter Laughing

Ah, yes. I only ever used the stealth portion against overwatch, the rest I found was largely useless.
